Next Dance: Saturday, October 26th: Halloween!

Get you BOO-ty on the dance floor this month at the Statesville Shag Club Halloween shag dance. Wear your costume and bring a friend. We’re having chili and other snacks and desserts. Brian and Brenda Gilliam will teach a shag step: The Pretzel. So come out and join us for a fun filled night of dancing.

Awesome time at the Statesville Shag Club this past Saturday night! If you weren’t there, you sure missed out on the most scrumptious homemade ice cream and fresh popcorn. Yum! Thank you Staleys for working the door and raffle; much appreciated. Thank you Ann Hughes for the fantastic line dance lesson Crash & Burn. A big thanks to the great George Ward for some of the best tunes around that kept the floor full all night! And a huge thank you to Ashley & Tobitha Stewart for the awesome spotlight dance! Next dance – July 27, 2019

Our next dance will be Saturday, July 27th. This will be an “Independence Day” theme and we plan to have ice cream and pop corn. Working the door will be Don, Steve, Kim, and Delita Staley – Don and Steve will also conduct the raffle ticket sales. Ann Hughes will teach a line dance called “Crash & Burn” at 6:30pm and George Ward will be our DJ, starting at 7pm.
Special appearance: Gary & Rebecca Doran and/or Ashley & Tobitha Stewart will perform a spotlight dance.

Cover charge $5 for members – $8 for guests.

If anyone is interested in helping with the decorations, please let us know. We plan to start decorating around 3:30pm and should finish by 5pm.

Also, if anyone is interested in signing up to teach a 30 minute dance lesson at any of our remaining dances, please let us know. All slots are available.

June 22, 2019 – Sock Hop

What a great night at the Statesville club as we paid tribute to the 1950s with our Sock Hop theme.
